Report: PSG Currently Has No Plans to Sell Icardi Over the Upcoming Summer Transfer Window

Paris Saint-Germain currently remains set on keeping Mauro Icardi past the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report from L’Equipe (via Le10Sport).

Icardi has been in the rumor mill as of late, especially when considering his roller-coaster performances this season.

For one, a recent report from the Italian-based CalcioMercato noted of Juventus keeping a close eye on Icardi’s situation with PSG. The Italian side has in seasons past shown interest in signing Icardi and now remains a transfer contender to bring the Argentine back to Serie A.

However, PSG is, for the moment, counting on Icardi past this season, which could see him staying put at the French powerhouse until his current contract runs up in 2024.

As mentioned, Icardi has had his ups and downs this season. The Argentine faced multiple injury issues over the early portions of the season but now under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, he has found a way to turn his campaign around. He is just coming off of a run where he logged seven goal contributions over seven matches in all competitions.

PSG and Juventus will surely keep a close watch on his performances over the remainder of the ongoing season.
