Report: Pochettino Wants PSG to Push to Sign Aguero on a Free Transfer Move

Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino is aiming for club officials to make a move to sign current Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Aguero is still set to become a free agent at the end of the season, which will make him eligible to sign with any club on a free transfer deal. While the report notes recent interest from Barcelona for the Argentine forward, PSG is now looming ahead as the newest contenders in this free agent sweepstakes.

Aguero still has not made a final decision regarding his footballing future, but he is interested in a possible free transfer move to PSG, per the report. Pochettino is more so intrigued with ‘incorporating’ the impending free agent into his squad for next season.

The Argentine has been away from the team for much of this season due to a hamstring injury and a positive coronavirus test. He has scored three goals in all competitions over 14 appearances so far this season.
