Report: Pochettino Ripped Two PSG Players During Halftime of the Barcelona Fixture

Paris Saint-Germain had for one sluggish showing over the opening 45 minutes of its UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg fixture against Barcelona.

PSG watched as Barca recorded more shots and maintained possession without any relative issues.

From the sidelines, Pochettino was not pleased with the showing from his side.

As noted by RMC Sport, the Argentine manager showed his clear frustrations with his team’s performance at halftime. Pochettino raised his voice and was clearly agitated over how Barca had its way over the first half.

Pochettino also took a step further by signaling out Julian Draxler and Layvin Kurzawa. Pochettino was not content with how the two did not follow his instructions throughout the first half. More so, the Argentine used video clips to show just where it went wrong for them.

According to the report, Kylian Mbappe and Marquinhos were also vocal in the locker room. They called for the team to play higher up the pitch.

The second half contrasted from the first as PSG had several key attacking sequences to close out the tie.

In the end, PSG got the job done as it knocked out Barca and progressed on through to the quarterfinal stage of the competition.
