Report: Icardi On Track to be Available for PSG’s Ligue 1 Fixture Against Lille After Recovering from a Thigh Injury

Mauro Icardi continues to progress well from the thigh injury that he suffered earlier this month. Icardi scored the opener for PSG in its Coupe de France fixture against Lille and wound up leaving the match later in the first half due to a thigh issue.

As a precaution, PSG elected to rule Icardi out from its Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique Lyonnais as the club diagnosed him with a low-grade muscular tear to the left thigh injury.

As noted by L’Equipe, Icardi returned to training on Monday. For the moment, he is currently on track to be available to feature in the team’s upcoming league fixture against Lille barring no setbacks.

Icardi has been one of PSG’s reliable performers in all competitions as of late. The Argentine has chipped in for eight goal contributions this year.

If Icardi does go on to make PSG’s squad list for the match, it will be noteworthy to see whether he will make the team’s starting 11.
