Over the past year, Neymar’s name has not come up much in the transfer rumor mill. This is in contrast to 2019 when rumors and reports circulated almost daily about Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain.
Last year, Barcelona reportedly did not make a push to sign Neymar. Now-former Barca president Josep Bartomeu revealed that the Catalan club simply could not afford to bring back Neymar unless players were involved in such a deal due to the economic impact of the coronavirus shutdown.
This time around, Barca will once again strike out on a possible Neymar signing. As noted by the German-based outlet Sky Sport, Barca is simply not “capable” of signing Neymar over the upcoming summer transfer window.
Barca is continuing to recover from the uncertain financial situation that it is currently in. Thus, the La Liga side has no plans to reengage in transfer talks for Neymar, although club officials have discussed whether such a move could be possible.
More so, Neymar feels “comfortable” at PSG, per the report.
Neymar will have one year left on his contract following this season.
