The ongoing contract extension discussions between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappé continue to drag and get louder. Spanish media outlets such as Marca are pushing the narrative that talks aren’t progressing in a positive direction.
Nonetheless, in his column for Benchwarmers, Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano states that the priority for the 22-year-old is to negotiate with the French giants for the renewal of his contract. Once that is done, then Mbappé will think about his future heading forward.
Romano adds that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is doing everything within his power to convince Mbappé into extending his tenure in the French capital. According to the report, Mbappé wants to earn over €25-million after taxes.
Other clubs, such as Liverpool FC, have had no contract talks with Mbappé. This week, the calendar changes to April, and so these discussions will only be magnified as journalists and media outlets will report on every moment.
