Over the summer, Paris Saint-Germain will look to make upgrades at various positions. Upgrading their right-back position is one goal the capital club will have this transfer window.
Last winter, Les Parisiens had their eyes on FC Barcelona’s Emerson, who’s currently on loan to Real Betis. However, in June, the loan deal expires, so the 22-year-old’s future is up in the air.
According to France Football (via Culture PSG), the French giants continue to have an interest in the 22-year-old.
Sergiño Dest currently occupies the right-back role for the Spanish side. As a result, Emerson could want out and look for a club where he has the opportunity to claim the starting right-back role.
This season, Emerson has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Real Betis, where he’s scored one goal and registered four assists. Barça has a decision to make and whether they’ll look to take money from PSG or be petty and say no to a potential offer from the reigning Ligue 1 giants.
