Paris Saint-Germain has made the decision to sign Alessandro Florenzi from AS Roma on a permanent transfer deal at the end of the season, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Le10Sport).
Florenzi joined PSG over the recent summer transfer window on a one-year loan deal. The agreement between PSG and Roma came with a purchase option, in which the French side could trigger it to keep the Italian full-back at the club.
As the report notes, PSG plans to sign Florenzi on a permanent deal, which would see the French side and Roma come to terms on a €9 million transfer agreement. The report also adds that Florenzi has convinced PSG officials enough to keep him at the club.
Florenzi has established himself as PSG’s top option at the right-back position. The Italian defender has so far logged three goal contributions in 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
