PSG Mercato: Italian Club Looks to Rekindle Its Interest in Paris SG’s Julian Draxler

Julian Draxler will see his contract expire in June, and as of now, it remains a mystery as to whether or not his career continues with Paris Saint-Germain. In a recent interview, capital club sporting director Leonardo left the door open for a possible extension with the 27-year-old.

Nonetheless, other clubs have begun circling the Germany international in the hopes that he chooses them this summer. According to Calciomercatoone of the latest to show interest in Draxler is Juventus FC.

The Italian media outlet adds that Juventus has long had an interest in Draxler and made a move for the player in 2015. However, such a move never materialized. Furthermore, the Bianconeri is known for grabbing players on free transfers and squeezing out a few quality years.

Draxler has recently seen more time under manager Mauricio Pochettino, and perhaps that’s a sign to show the midfielder there’s a future for him with the French giants. Last season, plenty believed that Layvin Kurzawa would depart before he extended his contract. Perhaps Draxler follows in those footsteps.
