PSG Mercato: French Media Outlet Claims Paris SG and Juan Bernat Have Agreed to a Contract Extension

The Ángel Di María contract extension seems to have started the domino effect of the new deals that Paris Saint-Germain will be handing from now until the end of the season.

Now that Di María has agreed to extend his contract for another season, the capital club is now focusing on Juan Bernat. The 28-year-old’s deal expires in June, and it seems as though Les Parsiens don’t want to let him leave on a free transfer.

According to L’Equipe (via Foot Mercato), Bernat and the French giants have agreed to a contract extension that would keep the left-back in Paris until 2025. Bernat has missed 42 matches since sustaining a Cruciate Ligament Rupture injury in September.

Many were hoping to see the after-effects of the injury to see if Bernat’s form would drop; however, it seems that PSG is confident in the player and his rehabilitation where they’re comfortable extending the player.

Bernat arrived in 2018 when FC Bayern Munich gave the player away to the capital club. The Spain international has since converted himself into a valuable piece, scoring timely goals in the UEFA Champions League and becoming the squad’s regular starter at left-back.
