Right-back is a position that Paris Saint-Germain will look to upgrade this summer. Regardless of whether the capital club exercises its option to buy clause on Alessandro Florenzi, who’s on loan from AS Roma.
France Football (via Culture PSG) recently reported that Les Parisiens are reigniting their interest in FC Barcelona right-back Emerson, who’s currently on loan to Real Betis.
Furthermore, with Sergiño Dest occupying that right-back role, Barça is open to selling Emerson to help fund a pursuit of Borussia Dortmund Erling Haaland. As a result, they’ll look at the money rather than attempting to be petty and not sell Emerson to PSG.
It seems that Barça is ready to depart with the 22-year-old and has revealed their asking price for the defender. According to Goal, Barça wants at least €25-million for Emerson, which is about his worth. Transfermarkt puts the defender’s value at €25-million.
Emerson is one of many on the transfer target list, but the Brazil international might sit atop their wishlist.
