Pochettino Claims Mbappe Can Reach the World-Class Level of Messi and Ronaldo

Mauricio Pochettino has backed Kylian Mbappe to soon reach the world-class level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Much has been talked about as of late on who will replace Messi and Ronaldo to claim the best player in the world honor. The two star talents are currently on the backend of their prime days, so many have already begun to look ahead to the next crop of superstar goal-scorers.

Many have speculated that Kylian Mbappe will be the one to take the torch from the two and reign as the next undisputed best player in the world.

Pochettino seems to agree with the notion that Mbappe has what it takes to do just that.

As Pochettino told AFP (via Onze Mondial), he sees that Mbappe can reach their world-class level, but that this will not be a rapid transition.

“Mbappe is already among the best in the world and has the potential to succeed the duo Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo,” Pochettino said. “All he needs is time. We cannot speed up the process. It takes time for him to develop his CV, to get the recognition he deserves and will get.”

Mbappe has certainly gained numerous more supporters in this claim, especially after his Champions League hat-trick against Barcelona.
