Paris Saint-Germain is one team that many can regularly expect to create high percentage goal-scoring chances over the course of a match.
Just this season in Ligue 1 play, PSG leads the league in goals scored (61) and big chances (97). But on the other side of the coin, PSG has seen a bulk of its chances go to waste as it has missed 50 of its big chances, which also leads the league.
More so, PSG is currently tied with Olympique Lyonnais (19) for the most times hitting the woodwork within Europe’s top five leagues this season, according to Opta.
It surely must be frustrating at times for PSG to see the side pull off a promising attacking sequence only for the shot attempt to hit the woodwork. The likes of Mauro Icardi and Kylian Mbappe have seen shots of theirs simply ricochet off the woodwork.
At the least for PSG, the side does convert a fair share of its top goal-scoring opportunities.
