Juventus forward Alvaro Morata touched on the promising potential of both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
The new debate in world football is now between Paris Saint-Germain’s Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund’s Haaland. The two goal-scorers have continued to simply dominate their respective leagues, and they have also put together world-class showings in the UEFA Champions League competition.
While the two are top goal-scorers, there is some contrast in their play styles. Morata spoke about them during his talk with Cadena Ser (via AS).
“Mbappe has shown more things than Haaland, but Haaland looks like an airplane,” Morata said. “They are two different guys. Haaland will dominate the center forward position in the world. I think Mbappe will do it at all levels because he has the dribble, he has the power, he has the quality. In addition, when I spoke to him when we played against each other, he showed me that he was a good boy.”
Mbappe and Haaland each will have another opportunity to showcase their keen goal-scoring prowess in the Champions League quarterfinals. Mbappe and PSG will take on FC Bayern Munich, while Haaland and Dortmund will meet the current Premier League leaders in Manchester City.
