Arnaud Kalimuendo has been one of the best young goal-scorers within Europe’s top five leagues so far this season. On loan from Paris Saint-Germain, the Lens forward is currently at six league goals in the ongoing campaign.
Kalimuendo is doing his part in not only maintaining Lens’ spot at sixth in Ligue 1 but also pushing for a possible fifth-place standing in the league table.
For the PSG prospect, this was move was one that he foresaw had plenty of risks. But at the end of the day, he simply wanted to earn critical playing time minutes at this point in his career.
Kalimuendo spoke to the Canal Plus show 24h of Boulleau about his current loan stint with Lens.
“I think I took a risk coming here,” Kalimuendo said. “Afterwards, I was aware of my abilities, I knew that this year I wanted to play, play a lot, to show what I was worth.”
Kalimuendo is expected to return to PSG at the end of the season. But from there, his future is currently not known, whether he will play out next season with PSG or agree to a second consecutive loan move.
