Kylian Mbappé is arguably the best young player in football. The 22-year-old has won various trophies in France and the 2018 FIFA World Cup with the France national team in Russia.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward has eyes on heading back to a UEFA Champions League final after the capital fell to FC Bayern Munich last summer. Then in a few months, Mbappé has a chance to win the UEFA Euro 2020. Furthermore, at his young age, Mbappé has two or three World Cups left in his prime years, so he has the chance to win another.

Nonetheless, Mbappé has the opportunity to have an impressive trophy case, one that rivals football legend Pelé’s. In a recent interview with SportsWeek, the Brazilian football legend discussed the PSG forward can be his successor.

“He can be my successor; it’s no joke,” Pelé said. “I see myself in his ability to play fast. He is an attacker who thinks quickly. When the ball arrives at him, he already knows where to go and how to orient the game. Mbappé is also quick in his races and dribbling like I was.

Suppose Mbappé can continue to rack up trophies at the domestic and international level and have memorable performances such as his hat-trick at the Camp Nou against FC Barcelona. In that case, he could be on his way to being Pelé’s successor.
