Former Barcelona Scout Predicts Neymar Will Once Again Play Alongside Messi, But Not at PSG

Former Barcelona scout Andre Cury made a prediction on just which club Neymar and Lionel Messi will go on to play together at.

Neymar made surprising comments late last year when he spoke about wanting to reunite with Lionel Messi. The Brazilian did not note whether he would want this reunion to happen at Barcelona or PSG but rather just talked about wanting to once again share the pitch with the Argentine.

Cury worked closely with Neymar during his time at Barca. Cury was not only Barca’s main scout in Brazil, but he also represented Neymar for some time.

Not only does Cury foresee that Neymar will reunite with Messi, but he predicts that this will happen at Barcelona.

Cury spoke to the Argentine-based outlet El Litoral (via Marca) about this prediction.

“Neymar has the doors open for Barcelona, the Catalans know that he was wrong and even he himself recognized it sometime later,” Cury said. “I would be very happy for Neymar to go to Barcelona.”

“[Joan] Laporta is the only one who can put them back together. Messi is not going to leave Barcelona. He decided that his story should be in Barcelona, and I am very clear about that.

“Neymar will play with Messi again, but it will be in Barcelona.”

Cury singled out new Barca president Joan Laporta as being the possible catalyst to making this come to fruition. However, Neymar has been in the rumor mill as of late regarding a new contract extension deal with PSG. If Neymar goes on to sign a new deal with PSG, it would certainly end all speculation over a possible return to Barca.
