Brazilian National Team Manager Tite Analyzes How Neymar Has Developed as a Playmaker Since Joining PSG

Brazilian national team manager Tite has shown his appreciation for Neymar’s development since his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar remains the focal point of PSG’s attack. The Brazilian has continually led the way for PSG in total goal contributions on a season-by-season basis. More so, he continues to show off his on-ball prowess as both a top goal-scorer and playmaker.

Ever since he took over as the Brazilian national team manager, Tite has watched from afar on how Neymar continues to grow as a forward while playing for PSG. And Tite is well impressed with just how well Neymar is maturing more and more as a player and leader for the team.

Tite detailed to FIFA’s official website on Neymar’s development as of late.

“Neymar has matured a lot,” Tite said. “Before, when he was at Barcelona and in my early days with the Seleção, he was a player who would be out on the wing, would score goals, had pace, would dribble, do individual plays.

“Now he’s expanded the area in which he plays and, as well as being a goalscorer, he creates plays for others. He’s now what we call a ‘bow and arrow’ – he can set things up and finish things off. He’s increased his arsenal.”

This has been on display over this season, such as with his top performances in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Neymar is simply at the top of his game at the moment.
