‘We Are Very Happy’ – Kylian Mbappé Discusses PSG’s 4-1 Champions League Victory Over Barça

Paris Saint-Germain headed into the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup against FC Barcelona with no Neymar Jr. or Ángel Di María for the first leg at the Camp Nou.

There were plenty of skeptics wondering if the capital club would leave Barcelona with a favorable result. Furthermore, the weight of the PSG attack fell on the shoulders of Kylian Mbappé, who many wanted to see a master class performance without Neymar.

Well, the 22-year-old responded with a hat-trick in the 4-1 victory by Les Parisiens

After the match, Mbappé spoke to RMC Sport to discuss the win over Barcelona. The France international is pleased with the result for the French giants; however, he does his best to calm down the excitement around the fanbase, stating they haven’t won anything yet.

“We are very happy. It was a significant game; we wanted to come here and win the game. This is what we did with the victory at the end. Now we are focused on our goals,” Mbappé said.

“We have an important match on Sunday in the league because we have no margin, and we are not first. It’s essential to get back the lead in the championship because, with this match, it’s beautiful, but we didn’t win anything.”

The return leg will take place next month on March 10th at the Parce des Prince. PSG will be up three goals in the aggregate score along with a potential healthy Neymar and Di María waiting.
