FC Barcelona is in their final preparations ahead of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain. Barça manager Ronald Koeman spoke to media, where one of the topics he touched on is the absences from the capital club and his squad.

Also, Koeman quickly touched on Neymar’s injury and stated that players of his ilk, like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, must be protected because of the benefit that the football world receives from them displaying their talents.

“For any team, it’s important that everyone is available. Neymar and Di María represent a significant loss for Paris as for us with Ansu Fati, Coutinho, Araujo, or Sergi Roberto. You have to live with these problems and have other players prepared. I’m not afraid because we trust our players,” Koeman said.

“The absence of Neymar? I believe that we must always protect this kind of players like Neymar, Messi or Ronaldo because they have given us a lot of benefit from their talent. In, but there’s contact, and the players know it in football. Football remains a contact sport.”
