FC Barcelona struck first off a penalty kick goal from Lionel Messi to give the Spanish side a 1-0 lead over Paris Saint-Germain. However, the capital club was able to rebound as Kylian Mbappé scored the first of his three goals.
Nonetheless, it felt as though Barça were trying to hang on for dear life, and frustration began to sink in. During the first half, television microphones captured a not safe for work dialogue between Gerard Piqué and Antoine Griezmann:
Piqué: “Just one f***ing long possession, f**k!”
Griezmann: “Calm down, stop yelling your mother’s c**t.”
Piqué: “No, your mother’s c**t, we are suffering and running like crazy people.”
The score was 1-1 when this conversation went on; perhaps Piqué used more colorful language once the Spanish club lost 4-1.
