On the eve of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, the football media tried once again to engage the Lionel Messi to the capital club rumor.

PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes, who’s also teammates with Messi on the Argentina National Team, did his best to sidestep any discussion of the 33-year-old to the French capital. However, the 26-year-old does state that it’s a topic that they’ve discussed in the clubhouse.

“Yes, we talked about it a lot in the locker room, but I don’t want to talk about it anymore. I’m thinking about tomorrow’s game; we have to prepare in the best possible way for tomorrow,” Paredes said.

Nonetheless, Paredes also discussed how the squad will approach defending Messi, who still can take over matches.

“This will change our responsibilities in defense. We’re going to try to do our best so that the game is for us, with the ball, and that they can’t get us in trouble,” Paredes said.
