Paris Saint-Germain came out firing in its Ligue 1 home fixture against Nimes Olympique. From Kylian Mbappe to Moise Kean, PSG created multiple goal-scoring chances in the opening stages of the first half but failed to score each time.
But finally, Angel Di Maria broke through for PSG with the opener.
Following an errant back pass from Nimes in its own half, Di Maria pounced on the loose ball and pushed ahead into Nimes’ penalty box to score an effortless goal.
Nimes midfielder Lamine Fomba surely regretted sending off the pass as soon as it left his vicinity.
