Julian Draxler likely won’t be a Paris Saint-Germain player next season as his contract expires this summer, but that doesn’t mean he’s done contributing for the reigning French champions.
On Saturday, PSG hosted OGC Nice at the Parc des Princes in a pivotal Ligue 1 battle, and in the first half, Draxler put PSG up 1-0 when he reacted first to Mauro Icardi’s shot that hit the post and rebounded in his direction.

PSG entered the day behind Lille OSC and Olympique Lyonnais in the Ligue 1 table and with Neymar Jr. out injured, winning the French league is far from a forgone conclusion. In fact, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that PSG could finish third and have to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.
Let’s hope PSG can add to Draxler’s goal and come away with the three points.
