Verratti and Six Other Players Will Miss PSG’s Ligue 1 Fixture Against Dijon

Paris Saint-Germain will be without the likes of Marco Verratti and Mauro Icardi for the team’s Ligue 1 fixture against Dijon, the club announced on its official website.

Verratti will not be available against Dijon for precautionary reasons. The Italian midfielder took on a hit to his right foot during the team’s scheduled training session on Thursday. PSG is taking a cautionary route by keeping Verratti out for this upcoming league match.

Mauro Icardi is out due to gastroenteritis, while Alessandro Florenzi is dealing with a slight adductor injury. It remains to be seen on their statuses for PSG’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg fixture against Barcelona early next month.

Leandro Paredes is not dealing with an injury but rather will miss this matchup due to a yellow card suspension. The Argentine is expected to feature in PSG’s following league fixture against Bordeaux.

Neymar (adductor), Angel Di Maria (thigh) and Juan Bernat (ACL) all remain out due to their respective injuries. At the least, they all returned to training earlier this week.

There is some good news for PSG as Pablo Sarabia will be able to feature in this fixture after missing the AS Monaco contest due to a minor foot injury.

The French powerhouse will certainly have to rely on other players to step up in this fixture.
