Ángel Di María scored his 50th Ligue 1 goal of his career in Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-0 victory over Nîmes Olympique at the Parc des Princes.
However, the Argentina international made headlines with his postgame comments during his interview with Canal Plus.
Di María touched on his contract as Neymar Jr. is the first player this season that the capital club extends. Nonetheless, the 32-year-old’s comments over the possibility of playing with FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is what caught the attention of many.
“We discuss it quietly. Neymar is younger than me, and it’s normal that we speak with him. The important thing is that I am very happy and happy in Paris,” Di María said. “Messi? I would like to play with him. There are possibilities, but you have to be quiet and wait to see what happens.”
