The Numbers Behind Neymar’s World-Class Form for PSG and Brazil This Season

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is coming off of a strong Ligue 1 performance against Lorient in which he scored twice and was once again the main contributor in creating high-percentage goal-scoring chances for teammates.

Neymar has simply continued his tremendous form for both PSG and the Brazilian national team in all competitions this season.

Overall, Neymar sits at a combined 21 total goal involvements for club and country this season. As shown below, Neymar’s playmaking statistics resemble video game numbers.

What simply stands out is the 6.4 dribbles per 90 average. The PSG star is continuing to polish his dribbling prowess and remains one of the more efficient players at this skill set.

One could make a strong case that Neymar has been the most proficient player within Europe’s top five leagues this season. He is not only coming through for clutch goals but is also regularly adding to his key passes tally with relative ease.
