Report: Verratti Returned to Training on Friday Ahead of PSG’s Upcoming Fixture Against Marseille

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti made his grand return to training on Friday, according to a report from RMC Sport’s Loic Tanzi.

The Italian midfielder had missed all of PSG’s training sessions over the past week along with its last two matches due to a positive coronavirus test. He had also been away from the team as of late due to his subjected coronavirus self-isolation period.

Verratti had just been cleared to return to training following multiple negative coronavirus tests. He went on to not only feature in today’s scheduled training session but also completed it without any noted issues or setbacks, which is a promising sign for the team.

Now, it will be up to PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino on whether Verratti is fit and ready to feature in the team’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique de Marseille. The club is expected to release an announcement tomorrow regarding his availability for the match.
