Neymar currently continues to recover from his left adductor injury that he suffered during the Coupe de France fixture against Caen. The Brazilian has already missed multiple fixtures in all competitions as a result of the injury.

However, had it not been for the injury, Paris Saint-Germain would have announced the new contract extension agreement with Neymar, as noted by Isabela Pagliari on Europe 1 (via Le10Sport).

PSG had plans to officially end any speculation regarding Neymar’s future by announcing the new extension deal. But those plans have been placed on pause due to his current notable adductor injury.

Neymar remains committed to PSG and focused on the club’s ongoing sporting project, per the report.

It remains to be seen on PSG’s revamped announcement plans for the Brazilian’s new extension deal, whether the club aims to unveil it when he returns to action or simply wait until after the season concludes.
