Last week, Sergio Rico became the most recent Paris Saint-Germain player to have his home burglarized.
According to Le Parisien, the burglars stole €25,000 in cash and luxury watches and jewelry from Rico’s apartment, a 230 square meter duplex in western Paris.
It seems this is becoming a trend as this weekend saw Mauro Icardi become the latest capital club player to have their home burglarized.
French media outlet L‘Équipe reports that the criminals stole jewelry, watches, and luxury clothes, worth a total of €400,000.
The Parisien striker is one of many names that include Gregory van der Wiel, Dani Alves, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Thiago, Silva, and Rico to have their home broken into during their tenure with PSG.
Should this trend continue, the players need to have security at their houses or condominiums to avoid these incidents. Usually, these incidents occur when they away for a fixture with the reigning Ligue 1 champions, so their homes become easy prey for burglars who know they aren’t there.
