Paris Saint-Germain has ruled out six players from its squad list for the major rivalry clash against Olympique de Marseille, the club announced on its official website.
For one, PSG did not rule out Neymar from this match but is deeming him to be a game-time decision due to gastroenteritis. The Brazilian will be evaluated over the next day for his stomach bug issue.
Keylor Navas is still dealing with a groin injury, so PSG is taking the cautious route by keeping him out from this match. At the least, he returned to training earlier this week.
Ander Herrera is also still recovering from an injury of his own. The Spanish midfielder will not feature in this match due to a muscle injury.
PSG will now be without depth at the right-back position as Colin Dagba will miss the fixture against Marseille and the Coupe de France matchup against Caen due to a thigh injury.
Timothee Pembele and Abdou Diallo both will be out of the team’s squad list for this match due to coronavirus-related reasons. Pembele just tested positive for coronavirus while Diallo is in the last stages of following the set health protocols.
And to not much of a surprise, Juan Bernat remains out as he continues to recover from his ACL injury.
PSG will be aiming to avenge the early season loss to Marseille where the reigning Ligue 1 champions fell at home by a 1-0 final score in a tense-filled fixture.
