Paris Saint-Germain was quiet this winter transfer window with no incoming transactions to revamp the squad. Mauricio Pochettino took over the reins from Thomas Tuchel as the manager.

Instead of making changes from the start, considering the winter window had recently open, the Argentine tactician is working with what’s available to him. However, this summer, changes will be coming to Les Parisiens as Pochettino molds the squad into his vision.

Over the next few months, various names will surface that 48-year-old wants in the French capital. According to Calciomercato, Pochettino is circling Udinese Calcio’s Rodrigo De Paul as a transfer target.

The 26-year-old plays all over the midfield but spends the majority of his time playing as a central midfielder, which is an area that PSG would like to upgrade. This season, De Paul has started at central midfield for 17 of his 22 appearances.

Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes seem to be the only two names Pochettino will be moving forward with into the 2021-22 season. Idrissa Gueye, Ander Herrera, and Danilo Pereira could be in his plans, but perhaps Pochettino will want to upgrade.

As for De Paul, Transfermarkt has the Argentina international’s value at €35-million. This rumor might be early, but it could have legs since PSG sporting director Leonardo enjoys purchasing players from Serie A.
