Paris Saint-Germain is expected to show a strong interest in the free agent market over the upcoming summer transfer window. Among such players who the club will scour over will be Olympique Lyonnais forward Memphis Depay, according to a report from ESPN.
PSG will reportedly show an intrigue in Depay due to his impending status as a free agent. The Dutch forward is currently slated to become a free agent over the summer window, which will make him eligible to sign with any team on a free transfer deal.
PSG has expressed reported interest in signing Depay before. For one, one such report noted that not only did PSG have an interest in signing Depay over the last summer transfer window but that the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar would have helped in convincing the Lyon star to join the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
PSG will also have an interest in other impending free agents as well, including Georginio Wijnaldum and Lionel Messi, per the report.
Due to the economic impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, PSG is now looking toward free transfers as a way to improve the team.
