Paris Saint-Germain is being linked alongside the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid for Celta de Vigo midfielder Renato Tapia, as relayed by the Spanish-based outlet AS.
PSG is simply being rumored to be interested in the La Liga midfielder. It remains to be seen whether PSG has any plans to push for such a signing to bolster its current midfield depth.
Tapia has been a surprising talent for Celta this season. The Peruvian midfielder joined Celta from Dutch side Feyenoord over the recent summer transfer window on a free transfer agreement.
For a low-risk, high-reward move, Tapia has gone on to become one of the more influential talents for Celta. He has totaled for 24 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side to go along with one assist recorded.
Due to his versatility, Celta Vigo manager Carlos Mourino often relies on Tapia to alternate between the base midfield and central defensive midfield roles, which has not been much of a challenge to him so far this season.
The report also added that Tapia’s release clause currently stands at €30 million. PSG, along with Juventus and Atletico, may continue to keep a close watch on his performances over the remainder of the season.
