Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria was just the latest person from within the club to speak about the possibility of Messi joining the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

Following PSG’s win over Nimes Olympique, Di Maria touched on Messi’s future, where he spoke about whether this potential blockbuster free transfer move could become a reality.

“Yes, yes, I hope so,” Di Maria said. “There are many possibilities. We have to be calm and things will develop.”

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman followed by responding to Di Maria’s comments, where he noted his overall concern that some from within PSG are now regularly talking about Messi’s impending free agency.

“It’s a lack of respect,” Koeman said. “It’s not fair, I don’t think it is respectful towards Baraa to speak like that about one of our players. A lot of people from PSG talk about Leo, who plays for Barça. Besides from the fact that we have a tie against them.”

However, Messi is also reportedly sharing this same sentiment that Koeman has over this matter

According to a report from the Spanish-based outlet Sport, Messi is not a fan of the growing speculation regarding his upcoming free agency period.

Messi is becoming “tired” of the constant rumors linking him to other clubs, in particular PSG. The Argentine currently does not want anything to do with PSG and remains stern on deciding his club future following this season.

PSG is set to face off against Barca in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 later this month. So from now until then, the links between Messi and PSG may soon grow into becoming a regular talking point.
