PSG Mercato: Football Journalist Provides Insight on the Future of Alessandro Florenzi With Paris SG

One of the underrated Paris Saint-Germain players who had a terrific performance against FC Barcelona in their first-leg victory was Alessandro Florenzi.

The 29-year-old played 89 minutes in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 fixture. Furthermore, the Italy international had 45 touches resulting in him going 27 for 29 on his passes with a 93-percent completion percentage.

Florenzi’s passes led to him producing two key passes and going five for five on his long ball attempts. Overall it was a quality game for the right-back, and as June nears closer, the question of what PSG will do with Florenzi becomes a topic of discussion.

On loan from AS Roma, the French giants have an estimated €9-million option to buy clause that could permanently keep him in Paris. Sky Sport journalist Fabrizio Romano touched on Florenzi’s future on his Here We Go podcast (via Culture PSG).

Romano reports there is a good chance that Florenzi will remain with PSG next season. The 29-year-old feels comfortable in Paris and would like to stay. Furthermore, the journalist adds that the feeling is mutual and Les Parisiens also wants to keep Florenzi.
