PSG Mercato: Arsenal Defender Might Not Want to Spend Prime Years in Mikel Arteta’s Rebuild; Paris SG Reignites Its Interest

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain Mauricio Pochettino will have the opportunity to mold the squad into his vision. The Argentine tactician arrived at the start of the winter transfer window, but the capital club decided to stand pat and not make any transactions.

However, that will not be the case this summer, and one decision Pochettino has to make is at the right-back position. Alessandro Florenzi is currently on a loan deal from AS Roma but has a €9-million option to buy clause.

Pochettino and sporting director Leonardo must decide whether or not they want to trigger that clause. Florenzi has stated his preference to remain in the French capital, but Les Parisiens have remained quiet on this front.

Nonetheless, PSG could be looking at other options for that position as CBS Sports reports that the reigning Ligue 1 champions have reignited their interest in Arsenal FC right-back Héctor Bellerín.

Pochettino has managed in the Premier League and seen up close the qualities that Bellerín brings to the table shouldn’t surprise why PSG is again interested in the player.

The media outlet reports that the Spain international is ready to venture elsewhere rather than spend his prime years being part of a rebuild. Along with the capital club having an interest, FC Barcelona seems to be monitoring the situation too.
