Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-1 UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg win over FC Barcelona was a historic one for the club. After coming up short multiple times in picking up a win over Barca at the Camp Nou, the French powerhouse finally pulled through for such a statement victory.
More so, this was the first win ever by a French club against Barca in the Champions League at the Camp Nou.

Among the previous 10 Champions League fixtures in which French teams went winless against Barca at the Camp Nou, PSG was part of five of those encounters, including the famous 6-1 loss back in 2017.
The previous French team to face Barca in the Champions League at the Camp Nou was Olympique Lyonnais in a round of 16 fixture two seasons ago. Lyon came away with a 5-1 loss in the match.
PSG will now be aiming to hold off Barca in the return leg of the tie next month.
