Even though Paris Saint-Germain heads into its UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg against Barcelona up 4-1, Mauricio Pochettino is not yet celebrating a win in the tie.
Pochettino has surely watched over the years on some of the more memorable Champions League comebacks. From Barcelona’s ‘La Remontada’ to even Tottenham’s dramatic win over Ajax, this competition is regularly filled with tense comebacks that leave players and fans speechless.
For the second leg of this tie, Pochettino notes that the job is not done yet. As Pochettino told Cat Radio, he wants his PSG side to be cautious in the second leg but is also looking forward to the possible return of Neymar.
“We have to be careful and prepare for the return match seriously,” Pochettino said.
“Neymar is very excited to be able to play against Barça, but the most important thing is his physical well-being, that he is healthy and well.”
Neymar is still recovering from a left adductor injury that he suffered during the recent Coupe de France fixture against Caen. If Neymar could fully recover from his injury by the second leg, it would make for an even more arduous challenge for the Catalan powerhouse.
