Neymar Finished 2nd Behind Messi in the IFFHS CONMEBOL Player of the Decade Ranking

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) is continuing to recognize the top players from the last decade. This time around, the organization awarded the CONMEBOL Player of the Decade honor for 2011-2020 to FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

For Messi to win this honor is not a surprise at all considering just what he accomplished with both Barca and the Argentine national team in the last decade.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar topped out at second place in this ranking, while Dani Alves came in at third.

Neymar won a multitude of trophies and individual awards in the last decade thanks to his keen play with Barca, PSG, and the Brazil national team. On the other hand, Alves ended up making a strong case to being among the greatest right-backs of all-time.
