Asprilla and Shevchenko both accomplished this feat during the 1997-1998 Champions League group stage. Asprilla scored his hat-trick for Newcastle United in a 3-2 win while Shevchenko had his grand showing for Dynamo Kyiv in a 4-0 victory.
This certainly is an exclusive list considering the numerous world-class talents who have faced Barca in this competition, including Robert Lewandowski.
Mbappe will now look to build on this superb showing over the remainder of the ongoing season.
