For every top player in world football, there is always that one team in which such talents just love going up against. For instance, Lionel Messi has regularly put together some of his best career performances against Real Madrid, while Cristiano Ronaldo has had numerous top showings against Atletico Madrid.
What stands out with these two mentioned players is how they have had top performances in rivalry matchups. The same can also be said for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe and rival Olympique de Marseille.
The French star is just coming off of a performance against Marseille in which he once again managed to score a goal in this rivalry duel.

For Mbappe to record eight career goal contributions in nine matches against Marseille speaks volumes to just how much clutch of a goal-scorer he is. Six of his seven career goals against Marseille have come in Ligue 1 play, while the other goal was scored during a Coupe de France tournament matchup.
The best players in the world show up in rivalry matchups, which Mbappe clearly continues to do just that.
