Kylian Mbappe is coming off of a performance that can be argued was the best by any player in Europe so far this season. Mbappe put together a historic hat-trick showing in Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg fixture against FC Barcelona.
This standout performance from Mbappe handily earned him Champions League player of the week honors.

Mbappe became just the third player ever to score a Champions League hat-trick against Barca. The French forward also guided PSG to its first-ever Champions League win against Barca at the Camp Nou, which is a historic accomplishment for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
PSG now has the return leg upcoming next month with the side up 4-1 in the tie. The French powerhouse will not only be looking to clinch a spot in the quarterfinals of the competition but also aim to pick up one of the more dominant Champions League tie wins in recent years.
