‘I Want to Stay at PSG, I Hope Kylian Will Stay Too’ – Neymar Comments on His Future With Paris SG

The elephant in the room this 2020-21 season for Paris Saint-Germain is the future statuses of Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé. Both players will see their contracts expire in 2022, and if the extension talks don’t produce new deals, then the capital club will need to make a tough decision with their superstars.

In an interview with the program TF1, Neymar discussed his future with Les Parisiens. The 28-year-old has publicly stated that he feels comfortable in the French capital.

Nonetheless, if that statement wasn’t to send a clear signal that the Brazil international wants to remain with PSG, his interview with TF1 should send a clear message.

“I am very happy today. I feel happy. It has changed a lot. I wouldn’t say exactly why. I don’t know if it’s me or something else that has changed. Today I feel good, and I have adapted. I am calmer, and I am very happy here. I want to stay at PSG, I hope Kylian will stay too,” Neymar said.

“Of course, this is the wish of all the supporters of Paris. We want PSG to be a great team. And I want to continue doing what I have always done in Paris, play football, and be happy. It is the most important.”

The discussion with the French media outlet should also suggest that Neymar will use whatever influence he can to sway Mbappé into continuing this venture with him in Paris.

Regardless, if Neymar does extend, he will continue the lineage of great Brazilians to leave their mark with the capital club.
