A French media outlet decided to have some fun and took a play from Sport and Mundo Deportivo’s playbook. France Football (via Mundo Deportivo) chose to photoshop FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi into a Paris Saint-Germain kit for its magazine cover.
In the past, the Spanish media outlets have turned themselves into a mouthpiece for Barça as they continued to put players that the club is interested in on their front page. For example, the extent they went when Barça pursued then-Liverpool FC midfielder, Philippe Coutinho.

The front cover is the latest incident that rubs Barça and its supporters the wrong way as Les Parisiens have openly discussed the possibility of playing alongside Messi in the French capital.
Nonetheless, it doesn’t seem as though Mundo Deportivo tries to defend the club’s honor or contradict themselves in shaming France Football. Regardless, until Messi extends his contract or goes elsewhere, the PSG connection will continue as the summer months approach.
