Former PSG Forward Jese Agreed to Join Spanish Side Las Palmas on Transfer Deadline Day

Former Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez has found a long-awaited new club. The Spanish forward agreed to sign with La Liga 2 side Las Palmas on a free transfer deal, the club announced on its official website.

The agreement between the two sides is for a half-season free transfer deal, which will see Jese once again become a free agent at the end of the season. Las Palmas president Miguel A. Ramirez noted that this move was not a “difficult” one.

Jese began the season with PSG but wound up coming to terms with the French powerhouse on a contract termination agreement.

Over the past month, Jese had been on the lookout for a new club. The former Real Madrid talent was linked with several clubs for a possible free transfer deal and according to his agent, he even had interest from one unnamed MLS club.

Jese is set to once again feature for Las Palmas. He joined Las Palmas over the 2016-2017 season, which turned out to be his first of four loan moves while under contract at PSG.

Jese ended his PSG tenure with two goals scored in all competitions.
