Video: ‘When You Don’t Play Well, the Important Thing Is to Win’ – Paredes Comments on PSG’s Win Over Angers

Paris Saint-Germain came away with a 1-0 win over Angers SCO despite not playing well and missing their manager, Mauricio Pochettino, who tested positive for coronavirus.

Despite the squad not playing their best, good teams can come away with all three points, even on an off night. This message was relayed by Leandro Paredes when the capital club midfielder spoke with Téléfoot: La Chaîne du Foot, where Canal Supporters relayed his comments.

“A victory that took a long time to emerge? The important thing was to win. When you don’t play well, the important thing is to win,” Paredes said. ‘

“It was difficult ground and a tenacious opponent. How to explain this complicated match? It’s a well-established team, which leaves little space, curls up behind, and tries to counter. If you can play well, it’s better, but in this case, you just had to win.”

Les Parisiens are in a tight fight for Ligue 1 with Lille OSC and Olympique Lyonnais, so at times, they’ll need to forgo winning in style and come away with three points.
