Neymar Jr. was at the center of controversy in Brazil during the holiday break. A report from O Globo stated that the Paris Saint-Germain forward would be having a five day straight New Year’s Eve party with 500 people attending at his mansion in Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro.
Many criticize the 28-year-old for having such an event in Brazil, which has struggled to contain the coronavirus’s spread. However, Neymar is using social media to provide evidence that no such party is taking place.
“Wonderful decor, home dining with chair-to-chair distance and not for 500 people, okay?” Neymar said, laughing in a video he uploaded on New Year’s Eve.
Neymar ainda deu esse recado: "Não é para 500 pessoas, tá?"

Neymar also upload videos where it showed him and his son were taking the nasal swab test for the virus. The PSG superstar uploaded other videos on his Instagram that looked like a banquet-style celebration with plates and utensils socially distanced in an open-air area.

Hopefully, Neymar not only took precautions with himself but those attending his New Year’s Eve event.
