Video: ‘I’ll Be Cheering for You All From Afar’ – Neymar Sends His Support to Santos Ahead of Their Copa Libertadores Final Fixture

The last time Santos FC lifted the Copa Libertadores trophy was in 2011 when a young Neymar Jr. helped the Alvinegro win the South American competition for the first time since 1963. This weekend the club will be looking to add their fourth Libertadores trophy.

Santos will be taking on Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro. Ahead of the matchup, the Paris Saint-Germain forward sent a video showing support to the squad which was shared on the club’s Twitter account

“Speak, Santos nation. Players will be honoring our mantle Saturday. I wish you luck, a lot of strength, a lot of light. I hope you are having an amazing day,” Neymar said.

“I’ll be cheering for you all from afar. I hope we can get this tetra for Peixão, because they deserve it, and you also deserve it for all the work done this year.”
