The floodgates have been opened in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 fixture against Montpellier.
Just minutes after Neymar doubled the lead for PSG with a simplistic finish, Mauro Icardi joined the party with his third goal of the Mauricio Pochettino era. This goal was much-needed for the Argentine star as he had whiffed on multiple high percentage goal-scoring opportunities over the course of the match.
And in PSG’s next attacking sequence, Kylian Mbappe notched his double in the match. With space and time in the penalty box, the French forward slotted in another tap-in finish to give PSG a 4-0 lead in the match.
This is surely the most convincing win of the Pochettino era so far with PSG.
PSG will maintain its first-place standing in Ligue 1 win with this victory.
