The floodgates have been opened for Paris Saint-Germain in its Ligue 1 fixture against Montpellier.
Just minutes after Neymar doubled the lead for PSG with a quality finish, Mauro Icardi joined the party with his third goal of the Mauricio Pochettino era. This goal was much-needed for the Argentine star, as he had whiffed on multiple high-percentage goal-scoring opportunities earlier in the match.
And in PSG’s next attacking sequence, Kylian Mbappe notched a double in the match. With space and time in the penalty box, the French forward managed to slot in another tap-in finish to provide PSG with a 4-0 lead in the match.
